- live smoke free and avoid exposure to second-hand smoke
- get active and aim for at least 30 minutes of physical activity each day

- know your body and watch for any changes
- become breast aware and learn how to check 'em regularly
- discuss clinical breast exam with a trained health care professional (i.e. doctor, nurse practitioner)
- advise your medical professional of any known risk factors
- obtain medical attention for any breast cancer symptom
- obtain medical attention for any persistent symptom that may indicate the spread of breast cancer
- ask the doctor, "Could this be breast cancer?"
